DISCOMFORT: Embracing my awkward

Discomfort is a catalyst for change and growth.
I honestly don't like it much as I am forced to face the things I prefer to avoid.
It requires risk and vulnerability; two things that make me feel unsafe and protective.
Yet despite their enemy like threats they pressurise change to rise to the surface and prove I am more adaptable than I realise.
Overcoming is more about the unseen and unheard battle raging within than the mountain terrain ahead.
My Mum used to tell me that if I don't aim and release the arrow from the bow it will 100% never hit the target. Perhaps I may miss, but I can learn and improve with practice and teachability. Holding onto the arrows and never trying will achieve nothing.
(She is the wisest person I know! 💜)
Hard things gradually become less strenuous and menacing the more I take them on.

(Selfie added because they make me feel awkward and uneasy)...
Embrace discomfort!
DO HARD THINGS!
