STRUCK DOWN: When Life Hits Hard

What happens now?

After all is stripped down and bare.

When what you thought was truth was uncovered as lies.

When the trusted betrayed.

When assassination attempts came from behind while you stood in front to fight and defend.

What happens now?

When there is no other road except through the ruins.

Investment returned heartache.

When you fought unyieldingly and lost.

When you blessed without avenging and tried to overcome with good,

But watched it all tumble before your eyes, and still tried to love anyway.

Still forgave,

Still prayed, still hoped, still believed.

What happens now?.

When your heart is devastated.

Darkness laughs mockingly at the flickering light.

Is a glimmer enough?

How do you rebuild from ashes?

How to arise from the rubble?

Struck down but not destroyed

"But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through HIM who loved us." Romans 8:37

I don't know how HE does it....or what happens now or next...

BUT....in all these things we somehow conquer!

'....persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed...'
