A Prayer for our Families

These children entrusted to my care are YOURS!

They belong to you. All their days and their nights are held by your hand. Every breath, sigh, and tear is counted, measured and remembered.

You see and know all of their story. You hem them in behind and before. You lay the boundary around them. They are hemmed in from behind; all that has happened before today and you hem them in before; ahead of all that is beyond what we know or can see. You hold it all.

I trust YOU with all of my anxious and fragile heart, and I submit my limited understanding. Tear down all that is not from you. Plant and replant all that we need. May we each be protected and established in fullness in you.

Pull my children into alignment with TRUTH. Light and restoration floods now into every dark corner and lurking shadow. Every space in their mind that is wrongly filled and every misaligned affection that drags their heart away be invaded and occupied by truth to set them free. Walls and barricades that prevent them from seeing clearly, loving wholeheartedly, and living fully are removed!

You are our refuge and salvation.

You are our source and resource.

You are the restorer of our souls.

Let it be now here on earth in our family today as it is ordained, ordered and decreed in heaven.
