OUTGROWN: Breaking Limitations

The picture says it all!

I went outside to check if our laundry was dry and my favourite tree was gone from the skyline.
A snapped trunk at the base with a few roots still holding it to a terracotta pot.

Our greatest mistake?
Waiting so long to move it!
We talked several times, recognising it had far outgrown the space months ago. Various reasons of inconvenience and other priorities put it off for another day.
Now it is broken and unfixable.
The contained roots could not bear the weight of its glorious branches.
Gravity is declared the winner!
The Lesson of Delayed Action:
We are not designed to shrink ourselves to fit the places we have outgrown!
Relationships, work, commitments, physical locations, or even self inflicted perspectives can hold us in static pot prisons. Perhaps the outward appearance of green leaves blinds us to the pressure fractures forming within.
Identifying the limitations of the place you are in before you actually reach them is key for timely movement. Trees are not meant to live permanently in small pots. If roots have reached the barrier edge it is time to be transplanted..... BEFORE growth is capped or it all topples and is lost.
Seasons change. It is time to move!
'There is a time for everything, and a season for every purpose under heaven...
A time to plant and a time to uproot'
Ecclesiastes 3
